This is a tree that I pass almost every day. I wonder if local friends know where it is? This Flame Tree inspires me every single year. You see, this tree begins to turn red earlier than all the other Flame Trees around it.
Isn’t it amazing?
I love Autumn, all the colours that explode, the coolness in the air, the crisp apples and morning runs in the cold… Plus, my birthday is in Autumn, so it is my very favourite season.
But, what I love about this tree is that it just does its thing. It changes before everyone else. It stands out from the crowd. It doesn’t wait for anyone to advise it that it is time to change, it is not on anyone’s calendar or agenda. It just does its own thing.
I want to be like this tree.
I want to be brave and to stand out and not be afraid to be me. I want to know who I am and just run with it.
I think that these are the qualities that make someone cool. It has nothing to do with the colour of your jeans or the brand of you shoe or what you are listening to. True coolness is being yourself and owning this, it is standing out from the crowd and being amazing.
For this reminder, I am thankful.

As always, on a Thursday, I am linking in with Kate Says Stuff for Thankful Thursday and with A Belle A Bean & A Chicago Dog for some iPPP {iPhone Photo Phun}
PS – Sorry I didn’t follow your prompt this week, Kate – I have been working and have had to just go with what I had written earlier in the week. Great idea though – I might file that idea away to write another time. XX

I’d love to read it another time B
Also, thanks for the earworm

This tree is beautiful, looks like a witness of many stories of life.
It’s awesome to find beauty in nature, isn’t it? Fall is my fave season too. It includes my birthday AND my wedding anniversary. We actually got married on the first say of Fall in 2006.
I love the season of ‘Fall’ it just makes sense. Here in Aus, we say Autumn, doesn’t have the same feel. My birthday is in Fall too – love it. Thanks for visiting my little spot on the blogosphere!
