Fashion: 4 From 3 – Jeans, Blazer & Black Satchel

4 Outfits From 3 Wardrobe Staples

This post was inspired by my current un-inspiring winter wardrobe. I am wearing a lot of the same things, just in different ways. This is good in that a few key pieces do make for some classic outfits, but for me, I am not fitting into my super cute winter clothes, so I am patching together a few odds and ends that kind of work…

I thought that we all probably have some ‘staple’ items in our wardrobes and we could possibly use them in a variety of ways…

Let me explain…

Here is today’s selection for 4 From 3…

Classic denim jeans, a standard cut blazer and a black crocodile skin look satchel….

Parent Teacher interview

I love the look of a crisp white shirt with denim… Add a cute navy scarf, orange loafers and some cute earrings and you have yourself an outfit. I love to tie in the colours, I don’t necessarily tie in the bag with the shoes – but having the orange repeated in the blazer and the shoes is very cool.

Watching the Boy Play Soccer

The blazer is a great wardrobe staple as it can be dressed up or down. Here is how you can dress it down… Add a cute striped T, some cool converse sneakers and don’t forget your accessories and you look fun, fresh, ready for action. Please note: my son is too young to play soccer, I do not know if this is what Soccer Mums wear, but this is what I would wear … ;0)

Markets, Museums & Art Galleries with the Family

I can’t tell if this is a dressed down or a dressed up version of this blazer! The lovely silk spotted top teamed with the gorgeous orange jewellery is fresh and fun. Add some cute sandals and you have yourself a super cute outfit ready for almost anything. Imagine if your toenails were painted a shade of orange!

Dinner with The Man

Black is always a great option for dressing up anything. I love black and denim as much as I love white and denim… Add some off beat orange and black jewellery and some KILLER heals and you are ready to dine out with your man.

Note: The jeans worked with EVERY outfit… The blazer could be dressed up or down and looked cool and hip EVERY time…. The black bag does not NOT match any of the outfits…

So… go and look in your wardrobe and think of some new ways to wear your staple items. Add colour, accessories and don’t worry about changing your bag to match every item. One good quality bag can be used to match many outfits!

  6. Just gorgeous, I love them all, and now I have a serious desire to go out and buy a blazer.

So good to meet you at NNB2012!! How fun was that? My head is still exploding with ideas, I can’t keep up with how fast my brain is whirring. It’s almost paralying! Does that make sense? I just don’t know where to start.

So I started by going around to all those lovely peeps that I met IRL and visiting their blogs. That’s a good place to start, I think.
