Saturday Bonus Reading!
My lovely friend Jodie who is one of the very cleverest people I know needs to be acknowledged for this awesome tip.
This is how I was storing my favourite tan leather boots…
Shame on B.
But, Jodie mentioned on facebook a little while ago that she used pool noodles cut down to size to help when storing her boots. So, now my boots are being stored like THIS.
Much better isn’t it?
A pool noodle is about $3 and can be cut into sections for two sets of boots. That is amazing value for money! The noodles are easily cut using a serrated bread knife {obviously, be careful with the knife and the children around and all that jazz}.
What a nifty idea, thanks so much Jodie!

It’s great, right? Makes a closet look so much tidier! A warning, though: I have caught my two-year-old stealing them right from out of my boots to use as lightsabers
Haha! I had a cheeky line in the post about lightsabers but I took it out… Glad you added that!
Love it and have shared!

Great! I love having quick and easy solutions to storage problems! Now, I need to work out how to stop my 2 year old from stealing them… any suggestions?
Great idea. I use poster tubes from the post office. They work a treat!
Thx Cathy
Clever idea!
Thanks for popping over!
Hi B,
You can use old magazines to store your shoes. Just roll it and put it inside the shoes and your shoes will stay upright. This worked for me and children won’t bother pulling those magazines out.
Good tip, Ramya!
Thanks for stopping by. Mwah!
I use the magazine idea but I really must switch to pool noodles because Who magazines aren’t sturdy enough for my muscular calf stretched boots! Great post B
Thanks! Plus, you want to read a nice flat magazine!
Thanks for stopping by… lovley…
What a great idea! Definitely going to try it!
It is simply genius isn’t it?! Amazing.
Great Idea!! I’m doing this Nikki – thanks!
Thanks for stopping by! Such a great and easy trick!

What a clever way to store boots. I wouldn’t have thought of that. Thanks for sharing the tip. Insperation for articles can come from the most unexpected places.

That is true! This has been my most popular post and it took no time at all to put together. Clever, simple ideas sure get a great response!

LOVE IT! Am so going to do it (hope I can find pool noodles in winter?!). Also, I love your boots. I looked ALL OVER harbour town for brown boots last Saturday and found NOTHING in size 11 (hoofers!).

Wow – it would be hard to find boots in your size! I got mine from Myer last year. I was worried that they would only be ‘in’ for one season, but, they are even more ‘in’ this year!

I use glossy magazines. I just roll them up, pop them in and they expand to the width of the boots. Works a treat! Less chance of them being used as light sabres too! Got the idea from using our unopened Friday newspapers that come rolled up in plastic. I’ve just finished reading the weekend’s paper which is why Friday often goes unread!

We don’t get the paper… A bit of a waste of paper for just the comics for me! I am also on a self imposed glossy magazine famine. Long story. BUT – I did have a pool noodle, so… it was easy! Yeah, I know… I had a pool noodle lying around – weird.
Thank you B!!! I bought my first pair of long boots in 20 years this winter and they still stand tall but I was thinking I needed to work out how to store them – genius, good on ya!
