Life: School Holidays – Just Chillax

Being on school holidays is a hoot – for the studious student and the overwrought SAHM mum. It is tempting to pack the days full of fun things to do and people to see and treats to eat. But, it is also a good chance to unwind, recharge and chillax: vitally important for getting through the next term.

Chillaxing can look different for everyone. My children tend to want to be busy in the mornings and then calmer mid-afternoon before winding up again in the late afternoon. If I have a list of possible things for them to do, it is so much easier to navigate through the day.

I like to encourage my children to play outside, it is just great for them {and less mess inside}. Nothing beats sunshine, fresh air and the possible adventures!

A lot of these things can be taken anywhere, so, if you are lucky enough to get away, then you can still fit in some chillaxing time!

Here is a list of ways to unwind in a kid-friendly kind of way… with NO technology!

Inside – Calm

  • Colouring in
  • Puzzles
  • Board Games
  • Read a story or ten together
