Fashion: SPRING: How To Wear Navy & White (with a pop of colour)

There are not many colour combinations that stand the test of time – navy and white are one of these. The quintessential Spring look, these colours are fresh and crisp and breezy.

I have put together some look books of classic navy and white outfits, but with the added pop of some current season colour. I hope that these outfits inspire you to find things in your wardrobe that can be brought back into the current season, whether it be accessories or items of clothing. If you do want to add some new items to your Spring/Summer wardrobe – here are some essentials for looking cool and crisp!

How To Wear Navy & White - with a splash of red

Whether you like it or not, shorts are back. This season’s shorts are mid thigh and high waisted, they look cool and hip – on just the right person. On me, they would look terrible! But, I do love them! I would swap the shorts for an A line navy skirt, it would give me the same kind of ‘I’m on the harbour looking fabulous’ feel, without revealing my thighs and backside in the same kind of unkind light.
I love the pops of red in this outfit, you all know I had to start with red didn’t you? Red, navy and white is a timeless combination – you just can’t go wrong {in my opinion anyway}.

How To Wear Navy & White with a pop of orange

Oh, white jeans. I used to wear you before I had children! I remember how crisp and cool I felt…
Now, they are part of a bit of a day dream…. This would be a great outfit for a picnic, just make sure you sit on a rug *wink*.  With a touch of orange the outfit moves away from being too nautical into something fresh and fun.

How to Wear Navy & White (with a pop of green)

Navy and green are so cool together. I love the almost chevron stripes of the maxi dress and the touches of green bring with it breeziness and relaxation. Don’t you just love the FEEL of this? This outfit is all about being cool and comfortable. Close your eyes and think: deck, drink, ice, clinking, laughter…. oh … that sounds dreamy!

How To Wear Navy & White With A Pop Of Yellow

This outfit could almost be corporate if you worked in a relaxed and hip kind of workplace. I could certainly wear it teaching. I love that the basis of the outfit is navy and white but the pops of yellow add a brightness and a freshness that are so ‘on trend’.

I do like to write about colour….
