Life: A letter to BabyCool {2 Years Today}

Dear BabyCool,

I can’t believe that you turn two today! Where did the last two years go?

I am so proud of you. You are so loving and funny and boisterous, everything a baby boy should be.

This time last year, your hands were healing from being burned in an accident and you were a terrible sleeper. Now, a year on, you are so active and clever and have worked out how to do so many things, AND you are now going to sleep on your own! Your daddy and I are very pleased about this!

Your sisters love you to bits, infact, right now, they are making you a Duplo dinosaur land for the new Dinosaur Train dinos they gave you for your birthday! They love jumping on the trampoline with you and they love playing chasing games with you. You love them too, you can’t wait for school to finish so that you can play with them again.

I had some big plans for today, but, unfortunately, I am sick and you are too. So are the girls. So, we are all home together in our jimjams watching telly and sipping tea. I am sure you will be thrilled to have all of us together. You certainly won’t get lonely!

I am pleased that you had a great birthday party on Sunday, lots of family and friends came and had a lovely time. I will write about the party in a little while, it was so much fun. You got to eat as many lollies as you liked, you played games with all the other kids and you got some really cool presents.

Your favourite foods are yoghurt, bananas, grapes, curry and rice and pasta. Your favourite toy is your teddy dog that daddy named  ’Boo’, the luckiest dog in the world. You love watching ‘Giggle and Hoot’ and you also love the Bananas in Pyjamas. Having a bath and playing in the splash pool are some of your favourite things to do as well. You love going to the park and get excited when it is time to get into the car.

You are starting to use words, you love your big boy cousins and can say their names {we won’t mention that you can’t say your sisters’ names}, you say mummy and daddy, you say hello to the fish, you can also say dog and chicken. You like to make animal sounds, you cluck and oink and moo and meow. It is so cute!

I hope you have a nice day today, even though we are all under the weather. I am looking forward to just hanging out with you. I hope the next year will bring loads more excitement and adventures.

I love you.

I really do.

Lots of love,

Mummy
